Volume 90, the second quarter edition of the British Medical Bulletin, has a wide variety of reviews on topics that are new or of special relevance to modern medical practice, aimed at those who are training or wishing to get an up-to-date view of a subject they are unfamiliar with.

The first review is on Grand challenges in global health governance (page 7) by Gostin and Mok from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC in the USA.

Their review identifies an agenda for global health by highlighting the current ‘grand challenges’ related to governance. Literature from the disciplines of health policy and medicine, conference presentations and documents and materials from international agencies (such as the World Health Organization) were studied and used for this review.
